Czech Airlines Technics (CSAT), a daughter company of the Czech Aeroholding Group, which provides aircraft maintenance services, entered into an Agreement with the Chinese air carrier, Hainan Airlines. CSAT will provide line maintenance for aircraft servicing the new Prague – Beijing route.
Hainan Airlines is launching a new regular direct scheduled service between Prague and Beijing on 23 September 2015. From this date, CSAT will provide Hainan Airlines’ fleet with line maintenance. The Service Agreement regarding maintenance of Boeing 767 and Airbus 330 aircraft was entered into for an unlimited period of time.
“Hainan Airlines is the tenth non-European air carrier with whom we now have a Line Maintenance Agreement,” said Václav Řehoř, Chairman of the Czech Aeroholding Board of Directors, which is the sole shareholder of CSAT, adding: “The co-operation with the Chinese air carrier proves that Prague has a lot to offer to airlines, including a perspective company providing aircraft repair and maintenance. Czech Airlines Technics takes pride in its 90 years of experience, quality work with an emphasis on pursuing high safety standards and adherence to deadlines. In addition to line maintenance, the company is currently increasing its base maintenance line and is in the process of hiring new employees. The prosperity and growth of the company confirm that aviation business in the Czech Republic is headed in the right direction.”
CSAT will provide Hainan Airlines with both regular line maintenance and repairs of any defects that may occur. The regular line maintenance will include, among other jobs, inspections according to the carrier’s instructions and assistance to the crew and ground personnel with their duties on apron areas. In regards to ad-hoc maintenance, such as defect repairs which must be fixed prior to a scheduled take-off, CSAT will provide the air carrier with technical facilities, tools and special equipment available. CSAT will not only store spare parts and equipment for the carrier, but provide parking spots and hangar stands for its aircraft as well.
