Czech Airlines Technics enters into aircraft maintenance agreement with Wizz Air

Prague, 10. 12. 2015

Czech Airlines Technics (CSAT), a daughter company of the Czech Aeroholding Group, which provides aircraft maintenance services, entered into an Agreement with Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe. CSAT now provides line maintenance for the carrier’s aircraft based at Václav Havel Airport Prague.

“We have been providing line maintenance for Wizz Air since December 2012. Effective November 2015, the carrier has had an agreement directly with Czech Airlines Technics, proving that CSAT provides quality work with an emphasis on pursuing high safety standards, adherence to deadlines and a flexible approach to clients,” Václav Řehoř, Chairman of the Czech Aeroholding Board of Directors, the sole shareholder of CSAT, said adding: “Wizz Air has joined the portfolio of 45 contracted partners of Czech Airlines Technics line maintenance.”

The Agreement with Wizz Air regarding the line maintenance of Airbus 320 Family aircraft was entered into for five years, i.e. until October 2020.

CSAT will provide Wizz Air with both regular line maintenance and repairs of any defects that may occur. The regular line maintenance will include, among other jobs, inspections according to the carrier’s instructions. In regards to ad-hoc maintenance, such as defect repairs which must be fixed prior to a scheduled take-off, CSAT will provide the air carrier with repairs of defects detected by the crew in flight or during ground control.
