Czech Airlines Technics Extends Base Maintenance Agreement with Germania

Prague, 4 October 2016

Czech Airlines Technics (CSAT), a daughter company of the Czech Aeroholding Group which provides aircraft maintenance services, has extended its existing service agreement with Germania for five more years. CSAT thus now provides the carrier’s entire fleet with base maintenance.

“Czech Airlines Technics has provided Germania with base maintenance services since 2012. The parties have now extended their agreement for five more years with the option of automatic renewals by two-year periods. Compared to the original contract, the new agreement changes a number of conditions, primarily, it establishes CSAT as an exclusive maintenance provider for the Germania fleet,” Václav Řehoř, Chairman of the Czech Aeroholding Board of Directors, the sole shareholder of CSAT, said.

CSAT specialists will provide base maintenance for the carrier’s entire fleet, namely 25 aircraft comprising Boeing 737-700, Airbus A319 and Airbus A321. The agreement governs both the complex performance of all planned revisions and occasional irregular tasks, such as fixing defects and repairing damage to aircraft bodies.

“Germania is one of the 13 clients which currently use CSAT’s base maintenance services. Together with Czech Airlines, Transavia Airlines and Finnair, it is a key CSAT customer. This year, CSAT will perform 6 base maintenance revisions for Germania, while in 2017, the number will at least double,” Václav Řehoř added.
