Effective 3 July 2017, Czech Airlines Technics (CSAT), a daughter company of the Czech Aeroholding Group which provides aircraft maintenance services, has a new Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors. Zdeněk Soukal (42) will manage the areas of finance, development, procurement and logistics at the company.

CSAT’s client portfolio includes important air carriers with whom the company has signed long-term agreements with guaranteed job volumes on B737, A320 Family and ATR aircraft. As a result of the company’s overall growth and a growing demand for CSAT’s high quality services, the launch of operations of a fifth base maintenance production line is planned. Thus, the areas of finance, development, procurement and logistics will now be managed by the new Vice-Chairman of Czech Airlines Technics Board of Directors, Mr. Zdeněk Soukal, who has years of experience in development within aviation industry.

For nine years, Zdeněk Soukal worked in the management of GE Aviation where he headed the Finance department during the acquisition of the Walter company in 2008. Then, he became the company Managing Director and CFO and from 2014, he was the Commercial Director and Managing Director with the responsibility for the development of commerce, engine sales and customer care. He is a graduate of the University of Economics, Prague, specialising in Commercial Law. He also studied Finance at Colorado State University, USA. He has been an ACCA (Associated Chartered Certified Accountant) since 2004. Mr. Soukal also worked as a financial analyst and manager with growing responsibilities at companies such as Procter & Gamble, Reader’s Digest, Pfizer and GE Real Estate.
